A string of "isolated incidents" creates a trend which describes a group. Of course other groups of people (non-Muslims) are capable of such behavior, but I haven't seen the story about Jews, Christians, Buddhists, or any other group doing the same thing.

Then the next logical conclusion should be why aren't you seeing stories like this from every other group. You yourself admitted that every group of people is capable of this.

Capable of, and committing these acts are two different things. The next logical step isn't to conclude that other groups are doing the same sort of things just because they are capable of doing so.

There's a wide span between "isolated" and "majority."

Though certainly not a majority, the clashes between immigrants' old-world culture (and I use that term loosely) and a western society that largely values basic freedoms and women/gay rights is more than just isolated events you can write off.

The pool story is just a one-off, but it's a component of a larger issue going on. And that's why it's more likely reported than if a few drunk frat guys did the same.
