Take a blood test or lose your health coverage.

Business saves money vs medical privacy. Which is more important?

Don't like it then opt out of your companies insurance... Obama care made privately bought insurance cheaper and better right?

But in all seriousness meta data collection does not bother me so long as it's not tied to the individual..

"Not so, said a federal judge in Madison, Wisc., who ruled on Dec. 31 that employers can deny coverage without violating the ADA as long as the data gleaned from the wellness program is used for purposes of overall health coverage."

Now collecting blood against ones will might be where I draw the line..

They can require the blood screening, but can't ask for the results. I'm glad I did mine (it was voluntary with a small incentive). Found out my cholesterol and blood sugar suck. Better find that out at 36 than 56.

My insurance requires a yearly lab test, height, weight, and vital signs check. You can either have your pcp do it or have it done at the employee wellness center. I have no problem with this. It's just like mandatory drug testing. If you want to have our insurance, you follow our rules
