RE: CUSA MBK Saturday 1/16 Games Predictions
I largely agree. I just think WKU will beat North Texas.
I don't know when the switch was flipped with Marshall, but they seem to be a completely different team. It kind of looks like the beginning of what happened here last season, except their out of conference schedule isn't as crazy. I completely expect them to roll Rice, but I still don't know where they are for real in regards to their play. Have they legitimately established themselves as a top team without actually playing any of them yet?

The verdict is still out on Marshall. They've yet to play a top 5 CUSA defense team. However, scoring 90+ 4 games in a row is impressive no matter who they're playing. Breaking 90 on the road is especially tough. James Kelly is one of the best forwards in the conference.

I honestly don't know what to think about the conference at this point. The only two teams that have performed about the way I expected them to in conference is us and MTSU. La Tech, ODU, and WKU havent played as well as I expected them to and Marshall has been much better. The rest of the league is full of landmines.

Our team will not allow Marshall to shoot thirty...three point shots. That's for sure. We have a multitude of athletes on the team who are all becoming more experienced at defensing the perimeters.

I guess we should want ODU to win? Assuming we win tonight that'd give us a 2 game lead and the tie breaker over mtsu..

Incredible! FAU won the second half 47-25. It's tough to win on the road, but UAB managed to do it twice this week. So, did MT.

So, ODU goes to LaTech and breaks their home winning streak. Then ODU loses the next three games, in which two were at home.

ODU is what we were last year.

You're right MB. This is a huge test in and of itself, but the scheduling didn't do us any favors either. We play WKU on a Thursday night at 6:30 pm and then have to travel to Huntington. Then we play Marshall at 11am CT.

So Marshall wins and scores 90+ again. Only this time they gave up 90+ as well. 94-93 Marshall over Rice. Im still not sure how good they are but they're definitely a scary looking team.
It looks like ESPN is now showing the final score as 94-90. Not sure what happened.

They've yet to play a top 5 CUSA defensive team. We play them twice this year. They won't score more than 75.
