It's going to take time for the crowds to come but maybe in this age of social media it can come sooner. This program just needs some dramatic life pumped into it and I'm not sure what combination of winning, new stadium, new coach, top recruits, uniforms, giveaways, etc. are going to do it but it's been a long time coming. Honestly, I think being 14-5 and tied for 1st in the CAA should be enough to get a good number of students out. Students like winning and when they see a good record, they're much more likely to come out. The key will be actually winning the first few home games that students are in town. Luckily we get Elon on Thursday so the students should hopefully see a big home win.

A lot more basketball maturity as well with this team. I would always expect in years past in a close game that someone would try to "step-up" by themselves to try and win the game.... drive against a triple team in the lane or shoot a contested three with plenty of time on the shot clock. Mental / discipline mistakes. Not this year.

Your team cannot lose, what seems like every time you go to a game, and want to go again. That is what the locals and students are feeling. You can tell them the team is good. You can prove it to them by showing their record and saying the team won again last night, but in reality, if my team loses every time I show up to watch, then I stop going.

Exactly. A competitive team with a good record that wins at home will attract students at any level of college basketball. CAA, SEC, Pac-12, it doesn't matter. If they can string together a few home wins, students will really start coming out.

Get through this week with 2 wins and I would expect a big home crowd next Thursday for UNCW in what may be a game for undisputed first place half way through the CAA season.
