ULM up on AState 73-71 with 47 seconds left in OT. Warhawks ball

USA up by 14 over us with 6 left. We just don t have it today and USA is playing well

ULM wins 78-73. We tried hard, the unofficial motto of Arkansas State men's basketball

GS was down by 19 but rallied to tie the game, but the Jags hit some late shots to win 80-76

We made a valiant comeback but it fell short. USA sweeps us this year which could come into play. 7-7 in conf now with next 4 at home.

Troy beats Georgia State by 1. Panthers could actually miss the Sun Belt Tourney this year at the rate they are going. Next 4 at home for them are absolutely crucial.

Little Rock opens up a 2 game (Defacto 3 game) lead in the conference standings by beating ULL 68-64. Given their remaining schedule is very favorable, that might be enough to lock up the League title. Not sure who beats them of their last 6 games

Assuming they lose Thursday, they better make hey while the sun shines against AState and GS, otherwise that game with App could ultimately decide who makes the SBC Tournament. Mountaineers schedule is easier after tonight with only home vs Little Rock left of the top 4.

Yes, but for ULM the difference between 2 and 3 is huge. You guys run a 7 man rotation, similar to us. The difference between facing the Cajuns with a full week off, and facing them less than 24 hours after playing what could easily be a very physical game against an Arkansas State/Georgia State/South Alabama type is gigantic.

In the best UTA has looked since Hervey went down, UTA beats App 90-61.

100% true, the 7 man rotation can really be detrimental when playing multiple physical games.

There are fans on our forum actually hoping we miss the tournament this year for that very reason. Tournament would just mean an extra game of misery...it's not like a 7 man team could win 4 games in 4 days and win the entire thing.

They have really regrouped. Good to see it.

Part of it was the stretch. Little Rock at home, the two SBC Louisiana schools on the road. Still scratching my head over Georgia Southern, but it does look like the team found its groove back defensively.
