RE: UABs RPI is 97
We should be higher and a lot of teams in front of us should be lower
I would say we should be in the 50-75 range

Seriously, this isn't some arbitrary poll. We are where we are because our ooc schedule sucked(not for lack of effort, it just played out that way) and our in conference schedule isn't any better. We could be one of those tough luck teams come March if we have a Bad game at the wrong time.

& then again you could have Iowa State whining to play us again & maybe some on the committee who have that interest may give us a nod over some other team.

Every team that goes up against this strong, tall, deep, talented, and experienced UAB team are going to have their hands full, no matter what their RPI is. That's for sure! Yup! No doubt about it! As for now, the team is in Charlotte preparing for a 6:00PM showdown against UNCC, tomorrow night. What a season, sports fans!

We aren't tall compared to a lot of teams...

RE: UABs RPI is 97
If we were talking about a poll, I'd say I think we are better than #97. However, like others said, this is simply a mathematical formula that spits out a number. Our SOS has been godawful, and the rpi calculation reflects that. It's unfortunate, but all we can do is win. Probably not realistic, but this team is better than any other team we will play the rest of the regular season. It should be our goal to win out. Let's do it!

We would have been better swapping the VT loss for Iowa State. Auburn was simply inexcusable the way we played. We earned that L.
The OT loss to VT really hurts, as they are 3-1 in the ACC right now, and 11-6 overall.
The 1-pt loss at Auburn hurts because it was against an in-state team, but they are going nowhere in the SEC (7-8 1-3).

Yep. Va tech could have actually been a decent win at some point down the road. Auburn looks lost right now. Win those two games, and we are looking at 25+ wins. The sos will be awful no matter what though.

Longest win streak in UAB history!
2nd longest win streak in NCAA!
We keep winning and we will earn some love!
Won't drastically help RPI issues, but makes that eyeball test better.

Not quite.
We won 11 games in a row in 93-94 and 13 in a row 91-92. We also have a 12 game streak that included 3 post season games. Our most recent longest streak was 10 in 09-10.
The 13 game win streak included 11 games at Bartow.

Media guide and Today in Blazer History archives.
Easiest way is http://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/.
Speaking of media guide, it's a shame we don't do them anymore.
