Cleveland article with his coach projects him as DE or tackle (if he puts on weight). Ravenna has been about a .500 or below program against a not particularly strong schedule. Kid's coach was a MU grad at same time as Campbell.

Article said he's high character and got into football late (7th grade). Manning really seemed to want him (according to the article) so that says a lot there. Might be a project they see as high potential?

I hope we don't need to greyshirt anyone. Although we have had some success with going that route. We have had a couple misses. Does anyone know how our current greyshirt RB McCrimmen is doing.

6'2" and 260# is a good start fort DE or LB; of course I have long been for LBs at least 6'2"+ after watching Utah State play the Rockets in the Idaho Potato Bowl. They had 6'5", 6'4" and 6'3" LBs who could move and make plays.

40 time of 4.7 if those sites can be reliable. Not knocking Ravenna but as I saw, it's a 500 or below team in a not strong conference so possibly a lot of curve left to his learning curve that university training might be better positioned to nurture.

4.7 in the 40 is pretty good for a LB. Wonder what Trent Voss has for a 40 time? 4.5 should be a tremendous time for DE, especially with a quick start.

RE: A Real Fullback!!!!!!
Willie is likely to play DE at Toledo.

We still have some uncommitted prospects that we are recruiting........some are three star players. I expect to see a full class of signings come February 3rd.

3 star WR Jalen Martin is still a question. He is visiting Iowa State this weekend and then Toledo either the following weekend of the 29th.....depending on basketball. Not sure if Toledo can keep him in the class. ISU is making a strong push for him.

Can he catch a pass. Run a little. Stick him in the slot and have an impact blocker for those WR screens

never know who the impact frosh/newcomers will be. this year our top recruits were chris norwood-green, darrion landry, aaron covington, and cameron bell - and none saw the field. the two recruits who made the most impact in their first year were among the lowest rated recruits in the class - josh teachey and jameson vest.

Don't forget Diontae Johnson. Diontae had 3 TD's at WR and also returned kicks as a true freshman this year. He wasn't very highly recruited, though Toledo really liked him. He did not sign on NSD as he waited to see if he passed a test he needed to qualify. Once he passed that test he signed with Toledo. I think the main reason he wasn't highly recruited was because of the questions surrounding his eligibility. Sometimes, this is the reason a player is not recruited very highly or rated very highly.......rather than because of their talent.

He previously played QB on some bad teams. As their program improved ,
they developed a QB and Diontae was able to move to WR, where he was All-State as a Senior.

Does someone know exactly how many freshmen actually did redshirt this year and how many did not. I have to believe the great majority did in fact redshirt.

All but about 5 freshmen that saw the field redshirted.
