Why aren't more resources put into figuring out how to correct one of the most sadistic killers the world has ever seen...

Yeah cause billions of dollars of research aren't spent every year on cancer...

According to financial reports given via FOI Requests from Vice, only roughly 44% of the $8.2B given to cancer research every year (so around $4B per year through donations and federal grants) is actually put towards cancer research. Meanwhile $548B is given to National Defense...

Number of Americans killed by Cancer in 2015: 548,854 accordingly to the ACS
Number of Americans killed by foreign and domestic terrorism, military organizations, and foreign military operations in 2015: 947

Tell me which makes more sense to spend our money on...especially considering the rate of Cancer deaths in the US is not declining, which is the only major disease or medical ailment with that distinction while major drug manufacturers make an estimated $125B on cancer treatment. It is what it is, but as a person who has lost 6 members of my family to cancer, it is something that I believe, as many Americans do, should be focused on much more than it is.

Edit: I did not mean to get policitally charged, I'm simply passionate about the subject.

I've always felt he didn't get enough credit for how good of an actor he is. Vastly underrated, IMO.

RIP.

RE: RIP Alan Rickman
I remember an interview with Kevin Smith ("Silent Bob") one point, and was discussing "Dogma", and the fact that Rickman would be in the cast. Smith went on to say how it was basically the most nervous Jay ever was, going into one of their movies, because Jay knew what a great actor Rickman was and he was terrified of messing up.

Coop said it best... Happy trails...
