CUSA revenue MIGHT be decreasing 500k/team
What a joke of a conference, and another reason Rice needs to bolt to MWC:
"Old Dominion and the other 13 14 Conference USA schools will have to make do with about $500,000 less in television revenue next season"

Unclear why you felt the need to insult the conference on the conference board

Didn't the MW already said no to RICE and UTEP? Looks like we are stuck here for the time being. Might as well make the best of it.

As posted in another thread-- I don't really understand going back to FOX and CBS considering they show so little of our league as it is. Now they'll pay us even less for the same not so great coverage.
At least with ESPN, the plethora of our unaired hoops games would at least be on ESPN3.

I did. I read he thinks the conference is a joke, and wants to go to the MWC.

If I'm not mistaken, the current AAC deal is based on its current membership; I don't think CUSA's situation would apply to them. The CUSA deal is based on its former membership and the league also went from 12 schools to 14, which decreases the amount per school.

I fully agree, if we aren't going to get paid, can't we at least get the games broadcast... where people can see them. ASN not streaming absolutely sucks.
Maybe CUSA needs its own real digital network showing every game not televised in a region. Maybe we throw Liberty a lifeline just to get their TV network. Something has to change. How can any of us afford to be in this conference with so little regional interest, huge travel expense, and now FCOA while making even less money. This really sucks.

Won't this kick in the exit fees from Memphis, Tulane etc....

Did it include Louisville which was apart of the AAC when it was formed?

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised to see an east/west split within a few years.

I think that only applied if it dropped before the contract ran out.

Not at all. It is based on all teams currently in the AAc.
