I know he loves it in ATL and has a lot of ties there, but it would be nice to see him get moved to a contender. Hopefully he has a say either way, not sure that's how life in the NBA works though

It’s a difficult situation, because I’m sure he’d love to stay in Atlanta. But at the same time I’d love to see him coming off the bench for a good playoff caliber team.
Bazemore for Brandon Knight works in the NBA trade machine. That's the only 1 for 1 deal that works and Knight's in the final year of his contract, which is attractive for the Hawks.
The Rockets could deal Eric Gordon and filler, but Gordon plays 30+ mpg for them so that's likely not happening.
Baze has a podcast on The Ringer podcast network called Winging It. The Ringer is Bill Simmons' website after being booted by ESPN (same guy who created Grantland). The Bill Simmons Podcast is a good listen, but if you want to support our guy, check it out and subscribe:

He hurt his ankle on Dec. 30th, and I don't think there is an estimate of when he will return.
I saw Kent's name in the box score this morning for the Hawks so he is back on the court again. Kent scored 11 points on 4-7 shooting. It appears that he came off the bench judging from where his name was in the box score.

I was at the game Monday and he came in in the 1st and did pretty well, but they didn't put him back in until either later in the 3rd or in the 4th, I think it was due to Vince Carter heating up and playing lights out for his duration in the game. Kent did alright, and there was one layup he had under the basket that took me back to his ODU days. I'm a Wiz fan and as painful as it was to watch the Hawks drain every three pointer possible to not let us get close to a lead, it was very nice seeing Baze again in person. He had some good defensive plays in the 2nd half as well when he played that brought me back

I was at the game. It was actually an ODU alumni event. They had food/beer included with the ticket and we all watched from the press box, which was different (the press box is way up there). They also let us near the court for shoot around (presumably to get KBs attention for pics) but I didn't make it in time for that.

Oh man! I had no idea. That would have been awesome to go to. And yeah, the press box really is way up in the rafters lol, I'm surprised they didn't rent out a suite, unless the list of people was long

It was only like $60 with all you can eat/drink. If they had gotten a suite or had it in the all-inclusive club level section, it wouldn't have been that cheap. I'd say there were about 30-40 people there. Maybe a bit more.
It was cool to watch Baze in person, but Vince Carter stole the show by knocking down shot after shot.
Incredible. Im so happy for that guy. He's probably the richest person I've ever met and came from such humble beginnings. And a good guy too. Go Baze Go.

True dat. Met Kent while I was in school at the same time with him. He actually gave me one of his practice jerseys that I still have and wear during the games I can watch. Awesome character and very happy for him.
