Well, at least Dabo will likely get to succeed Saban in a few years.

This will happen. Bank on it.

At least Clemson made it fun and gave them all they could handle.

Well, yall need to take them down in 2020 then.

We're going to get a shot at them before then.

RE: OT national championship
Thought Clemson outplayed Alabama for the most part on offense and defense, but Alabama's special teams won it for them. The blocked FG at the end of the 1st half (note: Clemson got screwed by the clock operator and with the extra play they deserved, could have gone for a TD or better FG position), the onsides kick which could have accounted for a 10 point swing, and the kick return for a TD. It also helped that Clemson had something against covering the tight end. I was thinking maybe they decided that they would rather get beat by the tight than the Henry and the WR's. Outside the one long TD run by Henry, thought Clemson did a pretty good job keeping him in check. Clemson's d-line was dominant and Watson was pretty amazing minus a couple of bad decisions, but mostly played lights out.

Sounds like you just need to move out of the eastern time zone.

I was fine with Darth Saban winning. Dabo was beginning to annoy me over the past month push the whole we deserve respect mantra. Dude, the football experts ranked you #1 for the last 2 months of the season. Shut up.

It should just be on a Saturday or Sunday. NFL Wild Card rounds will not want to go against the National Championship. Wild Card games can kick at 1 & 4:15. National Championship game can kick at 7:30. You get a game ending around 12:15 AM Eastern. The population by time zone is...
Eastern: 47.0%
Central: 32.9%
Mountain: 5.4%
Pacific: 14.1%
Alaska and Hawaii: 0.6%
How many kids were sent to bed an hour before the game finished because they had school today?

They just need to be smarter with how they schedule everything and not let the networks dictate what holes they want filled. It hurts everyone at the end.

This is why I love the Super Bowl... I'm home from viewing parties by 10 pm.

It was almost halftime before I even remembered there was a game. And that was already past my bedtime.

Was not feeling well and took two pills and did not make it to the middle of the 3rd Qtr. Also Monday's are a rough work day for most. Its tough to make it through MNF anymore. Even this coming Friday or Saturday night would have been better options or this past Friday or Saturday.

Can't play on Saturday or Sunday because of the NFL playoffs. Friday Night is the worst television night on the planet.

Why not? NFL used to play at 1 and 4 on Saturdays for the wild card round. It is wild card round. If you schedule the National Championship for then, it will force them to go back to that. According to Saturday Down South there was a 15% decline in viewership.

Didnt they just play at 1 and 4 Sunday? That 8 pm Saturday game could easily have been at 4. National Championship at 8 PM (EST).

it worked out well for me. Watched until halftime. Fell asleep. My son woke up with about 8 minutes left in the 4th. So I fed him and watched the rest of the game. lol

The championship is played on a Monday because CFB doesn't want to go against the NFL Wild Cards....
