I still believe the fan experience start with the entry into the arena, I like the idea of the search light over Birmingham, I would make the light GREEN and add a Dragon silhouette. It worked well for Batman..he always showed up.
As fans gets closer to the arena they would hear a very low rumbling sound with animal type gargling deep in the Arena's Den, The closer to game time the decibel would gradually increase to the roar of the Dragon entry of UAB men Basketball.
I could market that....
UAB basketball is very subdued in many ways..I would create a heckling zone, where the best heckler could be rewarded by winning better heckling seats.
I believe UAB band is very talented, and need to become more diverse and let go...there are fans who would come for basketball and good entertainment by the band...
I mentioned before our fan vase is aging, to which someone stated our fan based is always aging, my point is we need to attract new fans, younger fans, and let them grow with UAB like most of us here did.
