Weekend #2
We come into the weekend with two road wins. Our first game back at Matthews vs. Delaware and then a quick turn around to southern Virginia two days later vs. William and Mary.

I'm going to guess NU -7.5 thursday night, and NU +5.5 Saturday.

Should be good games, we cannot sleep on Delaware. It will be important to win all our home games vs. The non-top teams this year. Learn from the W&M loss that every team is dangerous.

RE: Weekend #2
Vegas has us at 11.5 point favorites tonight. I'd really like a solid double digit win but we haven't been able to separate from our opponents this year really. Nearly every game seems to come down to the wire. I think we'l win by about 5 points. At the end of the days, getting a win is important.

I'm interested to see what kind of defense we will play. Feature a zone against UNCW when we've been mostly a man team this season. Nice to see we have both options. I'd like to see us bring back the 3 quarter court press we used earlier in the season, maybe we'll use it vs. W&M?

Yeesh, this Delaware team is bad tonight. Can't hit a shot, and giving us open looks every possession. 26-9 12 minutes in.

Gresham and Begley got the starts again, looked good! We are jacking up 3's like crazy, but when you're open, it's a good shot.

Up 44-21 at half time. Loving what I see. Everyone is contributing, and we are limiting the turnovers. I'd really like to keep it up and blow a team out for once.

In the end, I'm happy to see some production from Begley, and Miller has looked great again tonight.

88-56 final. 32 point win, and got to empty the bench for much of the game. We seem to have more depth than we've had in a while. Hard to take a lot out of this game tactically, especially since Delaware seemed disinterested, but a great way to let the CAA know we have that ability to extend a lead.

NU leading scorers:
Jeremy Miller 15
Quincy Ford 13
No one else in double figures. Spreading the ball out.

Oh and only 6 turnovers all game. Granted, UD has a short bench and never pressed us, but still pretty efficient.

But there's more! 25 assists on 31 made baskets. And Jeremy Miller being aggressive, with 18 field goal attempts. Love it.

RE: Weekend #2
William & Mary currently favored by 2 after opening at 2.5. Less than I originally thought this week, but our big win vs. Delaware provided evidence to our legitimacy.

Early on in the season it looks like NU, WM, HOF, and CoC are the top 4 (0f course with a small sample size, that can change fast, no disrespect to the other teams), and a win would have everyone else looking up at us in the standings. To go 4-0 with 3 road wins to start the season would be huge, especially against W&M which I feel is the best CAA team we'll play all season.

We know we have the ability to beat them, but we know they have the ability to beat us. Should be a good one.

They shoot alright from 3, with their main threat being Dixon. I feel like Prewitt has been better in the past, and it looks like they have a sharp shooter off the bench that gets a few minutes a game, similar to Donnelly for us last year. So I'm not sure a zone would be the best defense for us tonight, but it's worked pretty well the last few games, might be worth a shot.

RE: Weekend #2
Yuck. First half pretty ugly. Walker needs to get himself more involved. We need to get to the basket more, poor job the first 10 minutes, then Ford is the only guy the 2nd 10 minutes doing anything. W&M have completely cut off Stahl. Miller has been open a couple times underneath, but our guys haven't seen him.

Credit to W&M, they've been good on offense, finding open guys. Their defense has cut us off any time we try to get it inside. Blocking the entry pass to Zach Stahl. Not sure how we are going to get back into this game. We need to get to the line, maybe get Prewitt in foul trouble. Walker needs to drive to the basket.

Ford is the only Husky to score in the last 11:45 of the half...

Welp, the live stream keeps crashing for me, but I don't need to see anymore. Good game W&M, we'll be ready for you at Matthews.
