I knew Western Europe had a rather loosey-goosey immigration policy for North Africans for decades now, but it wasn't long ago that I learned it was one million in one year. That's mind-blowing to me.

It's not Merkel so much as it is western Europe. All of those countries have been lax about immigration for a while now, especially given their economies. I know there has been some problems in some of the countries. When I went to Ireland, for example, I remember there was already unrest with respect to "immigrants" from Africa and eastern Europe. Many of them come to the EU countries and commit murders and rapes and such. Even then, the press tried very hard to conceal that these issus were caused by the immigrants.

The level of "bury it" going on by the SJW left is pretty telling here.

I wonder how the citizens of....say.....Egypt would react to an influx of German immigrants into their country. And those immigrants likely wouldn't be forming rape-gangs. Yet, imagine how they would react anyway.

Like here, over there the Muslims are probably at the top of the SJW food chain, then Gays/Tranny, then liberal Feminist issues. Not surprised that elected officials and the media have covered up these criminal acts occurring at a wholesale level, in multiple Euro countries, for years.
