How many game balls were used? Seems to me if someone from Memphis staff would've asked, Auburn would have given him one. Magnanimous in victory and all that.

He can't be associated with anything Memphis, Alumni gathering's, Awards ceremony for the year, etc. etc.,.. I've said all year the guy is a goofball and he takes a lot of cheap shots.. Total embarrassment to the University and I'm glad he is through..

I think it was stupid. Beyond that, it's going to disappear quickly. Ball won't be around any more.

He is a thug. Always has been. Not a high football IQ. Hopefully Norvell won't tolerate the junk we saw this year (multiple personal fouls.)

Not good if this was condoned by the coaches all year.

Thought it was really stupid too but how does this compare to DWIs, drugs, guns, domestic violence that SEC teams are notorious for. Almost every SEC school is in top 25 in arrests for past 5 years per this link. The DL from Ole Miss is zonked out of his mind on drugs, falls off a balcony and it took several days for Freeze to decide to suspend him. Here is arrest link:

That's awesome, except I don't give a **** about those SEC schools. All of their players can get arrested or flunk out and I couldn't care less. But I do care when a player at my university makes an ass of himself and embarrasses the university. What happens in the SEC may stay in the SEC, but what happens at Memphis you have to own and accept the penalty for.

More to the point, "all of their players can get arrested or flunk out", and they are still in a P5. We are not.

You guys are not logical. Bowen took care of this today. Case closed. My point is not as nearly bad as schools we play or in our geographical area. The bad publicity hurts our university and SEC gets free ride due to ESPN.

According to re-tweet by Dan, the equipment manager was warned that Ball would go for the ball. Reggie Ball perfect name for this guy, glad he got and hope he gets to keep it.

Usually, yes.

Except in the spring recruiting period when it comes down to Memphis, Miss State, Arkansas State and Cincy and the opposing teams walk into Momma's living room and put this story in front of her and ask: do you want to let your boy go to a school where there is no discipline or accountability? Her answer will always be: Hellz no!

Maybe he can sell it on eBay to supplement his CFL income.
