anecdotal evidence with a small sample size. UNC is great at marketing itself but there is no empirical evidence that their professors are better than other universities or their programs are better. Some programs may be a little better than other schools, some are probably worse. Obviously their engienering and architecture programs are much worse if they dont' even offer them. :)

Think both UNC and NC state are great universities, but UNC is clearly rated higher.

There is a direct relation to endowments and academic standing of a university. Money matters.

what is interesting is you have people who did not go to either college asserting one is better than other. it is like a person who has not been to two restaurants recommending one over the other.

We're here to tell you that you ruin nearly every thread you post in because you insist on trashing anything related to the Heels and you take threads horribly off-topic. I made a comment about NC State, who played in a bowl game tonight, and a UNC homer makes a weird comment about how UNC is 'the' university in NC which was off topic, and you had no problem with that. I did not bring up UNC on a NCS Tate related topic, he did. I never at any time insulted UNC unless you think me asserting that NC State is on equal footing with UNC in NC is worse than Hitler.

You stalk me on here while telling other people to ignore me. Kind of hypocritical.

why don't you let the moderator moderate the forum or go start your own website. i'll survive if he wants to ban me, it isn't a big deal. you are one of these cyber lynch mobbers who wants to control conversations. you aren't going to intimidate me.

i think most ppl who post on internet comment boards know there is an ignore option. You probably don't need to tell ppl about it. Ppl don't need you to think for them.

What did I lie about? My sole comment on this subject was referring everyone to the ignore list thread. I did so because I'm, like others apparently also, are getting tired of this stupid bs arguments on every thread. State your opinion & move on, stop dwelling over every detail please. There was no offense taken on my part. For the record, I have ignored the ignore list because I like reading everyone's opinions rather if I agree or not but redundancy becomes tiresome.

lo and behold, there were two louisville fans on this thread last night all worked up about my comments that had nothing to do with louisville. kind of weird louisville fans want to whiteknight for UNC even though UNC was never a damsel in distress.
