Semi-OT: WKU and MT friends, STAY SAFE
There is a significant risk for tornadoes and other severe weather today in middle TN and western KY. Nashville metro is in the highest risk area. Please stay safe, MT and WKU folks. If y'all pray today would be a good day for it. Looks very scary out there. Keep us updated if you are in the line 'of fire' today. I am in TN for holidays and do not want to see any horrible weather!!

Us too. Birmingham is no stranger to winter storms (not the snow kind).

Tornadoes on the ground in TN headed toward Murfreesboro. Now would be a good time for any prayers. Already reports of homes destroyed and multiple injuries.

I live not far from I-24 and Med Center, could have sworn I saw something funky when lightning flashed. Really strong winds not long ago but clear now. Tornado possible in NE Rutherford Co. More storms behind this one.

2 dead were in Perry County, between Linden and Hohenwald which is around 80 miles away.

At the time, I lived a couple hundred yards from where the tornado killed the mother and child on Sulphur Springs Road on Good Friday in 2009. Ever since, the sirens get my attention and make my skin crawl.

Never wait to hear sirens. Some storms move to fast. Follow the appropriate people on Twitter and have alerts set up on your phone.

Just had a really bad storm blow thru. No tornado (thank God) but very strong winds and lots of lightning. May have been small hail too but it was so stormy I couldn't tell what was rain and wind/debris or what wasn't.

Lol! Thanks. I'm ready for some nice relaxing winter weather that is not storms and tornadoes. Snow instead, please.

But not necessarily that crap that hit Bowling Green last year. 15 inches of snow or whatever.
