The 2016 Louisville Slugger Pre-Season All-Americans feature a remarkable mix of talented NCAA Division I baseball players across the USA.

The teams, chosen by Collegiate Baseball newspaper, feature five starting pitchers who struck out over 100 batters each last season. RHP Mike Schawaryn of Maryland led all first teamers with 138 strikeouts last season.

Multi-position athlete Brendan McKay of Louisville is projected as the Player of The Year by Collegiate Baseball in 2016. He struck out 117 batters last season while posting a 9-3 record with 4 saves and a 1.77 ERA. As a batter, he hit .308 with 14 doubles, 4 homers and 34 RBI.

The first team closers include Zack Burdi of Louisville and Zach Jackson of Arkansas. The duo combined to post 18 saves and an 11-2 record.

On offense, 3B Will Craig of Wake Forest had the highest batting average of first teamers at .382 as he belted 20 doubles with 13 home runs.

This is only Trosclair's second year with the Cajuns. I guess it could seem longer than that to some folks.
