Yeah, lets brag that some of your bottom half of your league, beat the bottom half or our league, USF being the one anomaly. I'm not taking anything away from WKU, they easily deserved that game and deserve the top 25 ranking they will have in the final AP poll this year.
I've never came over here and talked trash about a conference, as I am proud of where we came from. CUSA was a great home to us for a number of years, as well as my respect for the likes of USM and UAB. Thus I don't get involved in the conference dick measuring contest. I try to avoid any trash talk or conference vs conference comparisons. But with the fools coming over to the AAC board constantly (seemingly alot of Marshall fans) talking trash, then seeing all of this "CUSA is equal to the 'AAK'" non-sense when I was trying to keep up with the happenings of the game yesterday, I had to post based on the crap I read.
Pump your chest all you want, but you cannot compare CUSA to the AAC anymore after this year. And the transitive property does not apply to college sports before any of you begin that lame ass effort again. I.E.- If Marshall beats UConn, Marshall is better than UH because UConn beat UH. Not how it works.
Lets run through some numbers for the top 5 in each conference, since someone brought up that CUSA's top 5 is as good as the AAC's top 5, lets break it down:
Losses: AAC's top 5; UH to UConn (worse AAC loss), Memphis to top 25 Navy, top 25 UH and top 25 Temple, Temple to top 25 ND, USF, and top 25 Navy, USF to FSU, Maryland (awful), Memphis, and Navy to Top 25 Houston and Top 25 ND.
Losses: CUSA's top 5: WKU to Indiana (awful loss), top 25 LSU, Marshall to Ohio (awful), MTSU, and WKU, MTSU to top 25 Alabma, Illini (awful), Vandy (awful), LTech, and WKU, USM to MSst, and the cornhuskers, and LaTech to KSU and MsSt.
Top 25 wins:
AAC- Mem beat Ole Miss, UH beat Memphis, Navy, and Temple, Navy beat Memphis, Temple beat Memphis, USF beat Temple, so what is that, 7 top 25 wins for our top 5?
CUSA- 0 top 25 wins
G5 wins- AAC, Penn St, Ole Miss, UL, Vandy, Syracuse
CUSA- Vandy and Purdue
Now lets forget the top 5, and look at the entire conferences.
Football Attendance:
Your top attendance is USM, who is behind six or seven other AAC schools.
Attendance
Win for AAC there
Athletic Budget, Coaching Salaries:
I don't even think this has to be brought up. AAC budgets for both blow away CUSA's.
TV Exposure- hmmm, ESPN vs FOX Sports?
Athletic Facilities: .... again, is this even something to argue about?
This article further explains the gap.

So please, tell me more about how the CUSA is on par with the AAC. I'll be here all day to listen. Best of luck in the rest of your bowl games.
