Cool helmet. Like the numbers....agree that it would be better with just MT logo on sides

I think this is a very common view. I agree, I would prefer the block MT and no horse.

Best one yet, IMHO. I like this one and the silver you have.
Sometimes, don't some of you feel it's too much? Too many uniforms, helmets, etc. ? What has Oregon done to college football?
Personally, I'd rather my school spend/focus that money on the actual product on the field, i.e. coaches, video equipment, etc.
This is in no way an indictment on Middle, but a general feeling, especially for the little guys like us.

I don't think its a lot of money to spend and is something the players really like. In that regard it helps recruiting.
If we wanted to get technical we have five shells. blue, silver, white, black and chrome. To be honest I'm not sure if our equipment staff repaints say the white and silver and so its the same shell. The rest is just changing the decal stickers so I don't see costs being prohibitive although it can be if we allowed it. I don't think we're spending a hundreds of thousands a year on helmets or anything like that. There is some brand enhancing by doing it too, though I wouldn't have the tools to calculate it.
I will say this. As somewhat of a traditionalist I can see both sides. Having one degree from UT I don't want to see them go this route. The white helmet has been around as long as they've had helmets and the orange power T is a staple. MT on the other hand has gone through a number of designs over the years. There is less tradition with the helmet particularly the color. The most common is that MT has been on that helmet for most of them in some for or another. So, I think it makes sense to add options for players/recruits. They love that stuff.
Lastly, it drives me crazy in one respect. I used to collect mini-helmets made by Riddell and Schutt, but once this explosion of helmet changes occurred I gave up.

Those are sharp, guys. I'm not sure what the significance of Pegasus is on the helmet. I'd have left that off, but all in all, it's a good looking helmet.

You do realize that's our logo right? And that it's on every helmet.

In all honesty, I really didn't realize it. I just thought you guys just had the "MT".

That's what is used on ESPN and is our logo on the official website. TBH I don't know why we are still using the pegasus logo on helmets...

It was developed based on our academic programs. We have one of the best aerospace programs in the nation combined with one of the schools premier programs in horse sciences (and the mid-state walking horse industry) birthed the winged horse as a logo.

Is the Recording Industry program still ranked #1 in the nation?
This is actually one of the biggest problems we have at MT. Some very good academic programs but none of them are in the so called professional degree fields (well because we've never been allowed to start them in the first place). I guess the aviation things is close but not like having the high paying professional degrees where people give back lots of money.

Depends on the year and who does the ranking. Normally stays in the top 3 I believe. Been close to a couple of decades since I worked CUSTOMS and had to know all that. The need for professional programs is our most pressing issue moving forward.
