Just wanted to post a few observations. I wasn't able to go to any games last year due to living in Hawaii. I went to last night's game. The difference in atmosphere between 2-years ago and this year is night and day.
Anyone can see that attendance is down. But I was surprised to see how quickly the wheels have fallen off.
Even before the game, the crowd was silent. There is no energy. Apathy has completely set in. I had 4 tickets to the game last Saturday night that I couldn't use and I could not GIVE them away.
Ole Miss had the largest contingent of fans I've seen in the Forum outside of a conference tournament. This could have never happened even 2-years ago.
Walking around the concourse--- everyone looks tired. The fun isn't there anymore. The most I saw people smile was when someone was telling jokes about Pastner's coaching. The long-time fans that are still showing up look like an army on the verge of collapse. Even the blue-hairs who live for Tiger basketball look like they are done with it.
The athletic program must be taking a financial beating with basketball this year.
Bowen has to act. The program is an absolute shell of what it used to be.

It's not fun anymore, it's the same undisciplined play we've seen over and over. It just gets worse each passing season. The program is circling the drain and the future doesn't look bright as long as JP is coach.

They over paid a nice guy...and department is in bed with him for at least 2-3 more years until they put a tombstone that says "this is where Memphis played ball"
