The double standards exist because males and females are different. Can you really tell me the reasons a 17-year-old male would sleep with a female teacher is the same as the reasons a 17-year-old female would sleep with a male teacher? When a teenage boy gets laid by a hot female teacher his ego swells to 5 times its normal size...doesn't work that way with the girls and often the girls getting involved with older guys have some sort of insecurity.

It's not appropriate for a teacher to have a sexual relationship with a student, but it's comical that these students in the OP article are referred to as "victims".
