All Pirate fans owe a big debt of gratitude to Danny Whitford and what he has undertaken and provided us with Bonesville.net.

This has been a tremendous undertaking with not much promise of a solid business model. He is doing this with his purple Pirate passion clearly on his sleeve.

None of this makes any sense to me. If you’re trying desperately to build a fan base you don’t ask for 45 bucks a year to listen to games over the stinking internet. There’s a reason why we can only sell 12,000 season tickets. And before some of y’all say it’s only $4.95 month, how many of y’all have said no way to HBO and things like that because they’re roughly the same price? But the thing about HBO is that it’s commercial free. ECU’s leadership should have been on this issue years ago. I remember the first time I stepped foot on campus all they used to talk about how ECU was one of the most wired campuses in the world blah blah blah. But still they can’t figure out a way to update their own athletic website, the Pirate Club site, or figure a way to stream an AM radio signal over the internet. Instead they sign a contract to show games on national T.V. that can’t even be seen in most parts of North Carolina (not even Greenville). Like always, the administration has failed ECU miserably. They’re just too busy to putting time served at ECU as a resume builder. It is sad... our fate has been dealt.

Repeat to yourself: "This was part of the conference contract, this was part of the conference contract, this was part of the conference contract..."
