This fills a solid need. We'd only sign a JC at QB, if we were 100% positive Paxton was going pro. We have great young depth with Holgorsen, Davis, and Howard. If we lose Howard to MN, look for us to sign another HS prospect. Personally, I think we keep Him in the fold as he would RS '16 season anyway.

This is not an Insurance signing. RF is a quality QB that can run a high octane offense. I know everyone has high expectations for Davis but he hasn't played a down in college and MN Wants to win day one. that's hard with a freshman QB.

Wow! There has been no drop in recruiting! Appears to even be a kick up to a higher level. Sure, results to be seen on the field and in teamwork, but my goodness!

Given injury rate at QB position, you need at least 2 of high quality to be competitive. Look at what happened to OSU, TCU, OU, and Baylor this year.

As a dual Memphis/UT fan (I know I will prob get **** on here for that) I can say Ferguson's arm strength is absolutley insane ridiculous but his awareness isn't all there and if I remember correctly he kinda had a crappy attitude.

Basically physically he is NFL material it's just a matter of whether he will put in the work or not

These are my thoughts as well... This young man is not coming here to be a backup, he's coming here to play... and obviously heard from MN what he needed to hear. The QB competition should be interesting.
