Get real fella. We've lost 6 straight to Houston.

I wouldn't get too excited yet.

Only the three signees for spring enrollment are CC.

The rest are all HS kids committed for next fall. 7 are top 50 ranked.

If we had half their class we would be giddy. You need to check stuff out before posting silly crap.

Did you watch the games? Both games were lost because we gave the ball away. We had them down 20 in the 4th quarter in the last game and made several foolish plays to give the game away. They did not exactly dominate us with greater talent.

Op posted that 20 signed. If 20 signed, they are all JC.
Check yourself before you show your ignorance.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Herman will be the coach at A&M this time next year.

Nope. Texas.

Nope. Texas.

Definitely Texas. When Texas has only signed 3 of the top 40 recruits in Texas, like Strong has done this year, the clock is ticking. Herman is not blind.

If/when that happens, the 3 most recent ex-Cougar coaches will be at A&M, Baylor and Texas. Which would be like our coaches going to Ole Miss, Arkansas and Tennessee.
Pretty amazing.

Ah, missed that nuance. My apology. I missed your attempt at humor.

He only mentioned last two games & he was correct.

We had 5 TOs last season & still almost pulled it out & this season our All-American kicker missed a FG to win it that he normally makes in his sleep.

What I said is true.
Also, NEVER have I seen a Tiger fan so giddy over another school's recruiting. It's perplexing .

We actually have a thread on this board about Cougar recruiting.
With several follow up posts from the OP.
It seems as if your tone re this is excitement.
As a Tiger fan, I get wanting the conference to improve. But why the excitement about another school's recruiting?

I know what you said was true. I used signed when I should have said committed. Shoot me.

Easily perplexed are you?

I don't give two hoots about Houston other than as an opponent to which we keep losing. But as an opponent I do think it is noteworthy that they suddenly are out recruiting at a very high level and assuming both of us stay in the same conference we will continue to play. It was an observation for discussion. Nothing more. Don't like it don't participate. It's that freedom of choice thing.

You can keep playing if you want but you'll be playing with yourself.

Houston's HC has been there less than a year.

Herman Contract Extension

Herman will be there at least 2 more years...

2.5 Million buyout for 2 years with a clause that says if they don't approve IPF by 2/2016 the buyout gets lowered.

Herman seems like a smart & calculated guy...He has next Ward this year, and Postma the following year at the QB position plus his recruiting classes. I bet in 2 years he seriously re-evaluates if the team stays on the same track.

But as I have always said Herman inherited a Mustang, it will be interesting to see if he can maintain it.
