It would have been nice if we had played without the mistakes and injuries, but I couldn't be more proud of the way they hung tough and battled back. This was a good win over a solid Ohio team.

An even better win when you consider we were without 2 starting OL, our best WR and his back up goes down on 1st play of game, starting slot WR played very little, best starting ILB and our FS goes out before halftime. Incredibility gutty performance by our kids.

Announced attendance was 21,395. Higher than last year's game. That looks good for both teams

What a game for the Apps. The entire experience was first class from the time we got to Montgomery to this morning when we left. The town rolled out the red carpet for us and I believe the App faithful made a great impression on the town.

The team never quit and played like champions until the end, and the defense in particular was unbelievable. This team put its stamp on the record books, and will always be special to all of App Nation.

Went down will low expectations about the city. Pleasantly surprised with the restaurants and bars in the Alley Bar area about a mile from the stadium.

The tailgate scene was fun, good band and App Nation showed up in force. The MC certainly played up the difference in the fanbases.

Next time they better get ready, our fans overwhelmed the beer stands, said they'd never seen a fanbase that thirsty.

Well they only had last year as a comparison right?

We were told by one local on the way to the fan fest that they were surprised with how many App fans came down. Montgomery will probably hope to get App every year from now on

Told you. Bowl game is whole different vibe than playoff.

I'm still convinced that Mobile and Montgomery are the two best bowl experiences we offer as a league.

I too will say I was pleasantly surprised with Montgomery. Downtown had a lot of cool, newer buildings, and the "Alley" was a pretty cool little bar nucleus. Sort of reminded me of a smaller Raleigh. Cramton Bowl was also a pretty nice little venue. Not fancy by any means, but very cozy, set up well, and there wasn't a bad seat in the house.

But man, what a game. I don't think I've ever been to a game with as many ups and downs. Our crowd was incredible, though I'm not sure if that translated to TV or not. Our guys could have given up down 24-7 in the fourth quarter (as even I was ready to), but man am I glad they didn't. Already can't wait for next year! Bowls are fun.

I'm surprised we did so well in the run game against that NFL caliber defense.
