What about FSU?

Yes, Ferris State University.

At Florida State University he would break a leg on the first hit, in the first practice.

Just kidding, good luck to the young man. He should be able to compete for the starting QB spot at that level. Hopefully the injury bug goes back into remission.

That's what I was asking. A D2 school in MI seems strange for a kid from CA. FSU is a top level D2 program though. The FSU/GVSU game this year outdrew most MAC games.

Leaving EMU for Ferris? The only guy standing between you and another year of starting is the unimpressive Brogan Roback? Ferris freaking State? Reggie must not be overly impressed with the direction of the program.

He isn't going to Ferris. Don't know how that got started or why you're making baseless assumptions off of it.

Someone stated that he was and so I was dumbfounded. I knew he could not have left EMU for Ferris...I should have trusted my instincts.

Yeah, a running QB like Bell would NEVER want to go here:

Dear Friends,
On good authority, Reggie Bell is going down to Division II. Don't know why or where.

Might be a good place for him. I was at the GVSU/Ferris Game in September. It's very good football with a great atmosphere.

BTW, Jaleel Canty plays for Ferris.

Dear EagleTough,
I read all of the above. I was just trying to verify that he was going to Division II. There were some who didn't think, or believe that was the case.

Haha, that was only Bob the troll, he's wrong about everything! 03-lmfao

Instead of admitting that Bell was probably a D2 QB from the get go, and realizing this is the perfect situation for Bell to actually play somewhere, and showcase his skills, which led to a mutually beneficial parting of their ways.........Bob does his usual, spin-master best, to try and take a shot at EMU football.

He is 'dumbfounded', and 'knew' that Reggie would never leave for lowly FSU, because he's always right when he follows his 'instincts'.

It will work out better for both parties Bob, enough said.

Good luck to Mr. Bell!

Why do you think it was mutually beneficial? EMU lost a veteran player who was also one of the fastest on the team.

He's not an FBS QB. Hence the transfer. Best for EMU to focus on those who can play the position.

Wow. So it is true? The STARTING QB at EMU is transferring to Ferris? That is a new low. Iannotti transferred to Southern Illinois because he couldn't get on the field at EMU. Bell on the other hand beat out Roback, so is better than him, but decided that Ferris would be a better situation! It would be like if Michigan's starting QB decided on his own, that CMU would be a better place to play. These things never happen...until now and only to Eastern.

Kyle McMahon transferred from EMU to GVSU. Not the first time a move like this was made.

We all generally agree that Bell is not a D1 QB, but he is a good athlete. He's not better than Roback.

The one thing about Bell is that he isn't a midwest guy. I have no idea if he wants to stay in the Midwest or go home to So Cal. I'm not familiar with FCS or D-II football in Cal i fornia.

He's not better than Roback? He beat him out twice!!! Chris Creighton and Kalen DeBoer certainly think he is better. I've watched both play and I certainly think Bell is better. Looks like we have some revisionist history going on here. Roback is underwhelming to say the least. He makes bad decisions, is not overly athletic or accurate. You could even say he is not a 'plus' QB. I don't think Eastern has ever won a MAC game with Roback starting at QB.

Steve is correct. I could see him playing in California. Cal-Davis or something like that because he is from LA. But Ferris State in the middle of nowhere?
