And I don't remember Kay diving head first like a full back.

We won with Kay, and that is all that matters.

I distinctly remember Kay doing that against Louisville for one of the late game scores

Yeah, with his knees/constant shoulder soreness a lot of us were pretty unhappy with him doing that as often as he did.

It is not the end of the world, as I can easily name 5 recent QBs that were much better than him.

1. Dustin Grutza
2. Ben Mauk
3. Zach Collaros
4. The lefty QB who won the International Bowl for us....
5. Tony Pike

Let him go. He knows we are losing basically our entire receiving corps, and wants out, to "impress" the NFL scouts..... Ultimately, he will be lucky to get a free agent try-out.

Of course, forgot Brandon Kay.... what a great ending to his career at the Belk Bowl!

Kay did have a great game against Duke in the Belt Bowl. But that was not the end of his career . His last game was not pretty the next year against North Carolina in the Belt Bowl. I think I remember that our offensive line was in bad shape for that game.

So ends the Gunner to Kentucky speculation. Don't even remember Luke Wright; did he redshirt for the Bearcats?

2015: Played in four games on the year … Rushed once while attempting a pair of passes in the opener against Alabama A&M … Ran once for four yards while completing a 16-yard pass against UCF.

Was 3rd string this year. No redshirt on him. He will have 2 years at UK after sitting out next year.

No he played at garbage time in 3 to 4 games this year. With Kiel back (hopefully) next year Wright would still be 4th on depth chart behind Moore and Trail assuming that Sopko redshirts next year. Surprise Wright wouldn't drop down a level and play immediately somewhere.

Maybe he thinks he can get a Grad Asst position after he graduates.

With the shortage of quarterbacks at UK, there is probably a good chance he can go on scholarship there. Something that was never going to happen here. Good luck to him.
