What does a posed picture of Native Americans have to do with sitting Indian style?

Nothing. I was humoring your absurd notion that I need a source to claim that people sit like people.

So now it's absurd to ask for a link when someone makes a definitive statement?

You're so cute when you don't understand things.

I think that is probably more offensive than sitting indian style, simply because it implies that indians are somehow less trusthworthy. Again, not the end of the world to use it, but no reason to perpetuate its use to children.

Indian giver is an actual REAL bigoted phrase, not like the moronic fake things the PC crowd often focus on.

I don't get offend by much, but that is offensive imo.

Sitting "Indian style" is not meant to be offensive on any level. Its simply a reference to sitting with your legs crossed, something the natives were known for back in our nations early days.

Wait, so my photo isn't evidence but those paintings/much later photo are? Riiiiight.

EDIT: Also, in both paintings there are people sitting in distinctly different ways than "indian style". Just stop embarrassing yourself.

Those are the progressives. I'm surprised you didn't know. They always have to be different. 03-wink

Sitting "Indian Style" doesn't make any sense, either. Indians sit just like anyone.

It would make more sense if it they meant indians and not native americans.

Man, I know Indian giver is a bigoted term. I thought the guy drinking coffee would denote sarcasm, I guess not, lol. Anybody with any brains at all would know the white man (US Government) broke every single treaty ever made with the Indian. They were the real "Indian givers".

Just like you did with progressives.

Oh, sorry, nice of you to tell us what most progressives are thinking.

I did not assign a motive did I? I merely said the nature of progressive-ism is to move slowly from point A to point B. And that many progressives will move to "harvest festival".

You said "people are against this because they are afraid of all change"..

This is what you said.

Quote:The issue many have UFC is that progressive-ism by its nature eats the elephant one bite at a time.

Like I said, I don't really care but it's not too far in the mind of many progressives from "Indian Style" to "Thanksgiving"

You're literally telling us what is in Progressives minds, which functionally is the same thing as your criticism of me daring to tell us what are in peoples "hearts". That I more explicitly assigned a motive (I didn't) is completely irrelevant to my criticism of your statement as hypocritical, and indicative of what happens when you're caught in even the slightest of hypocrisies or misstatements. It's not just you, it's the vast majority of posters on this messageboard.

Stop. Fighting. The. Fact. You. Were. Hypocritical. It's really not a big deal, it happens. I've done the same thing and I'm sure I'll do it again sometime. A simple "Heh, yeah I guess it was" will suffice and we can move on instead of wasting time so that you can act as if something blatantly hypocritical isn't so.

Sanity wins: School tosses principal’s ban on Santa, Pledge of Allegiance

Quote:Sanity — and Santa — have been restored at a Brooklyn public elementary school where St. Nick was banned, the Pledge of Allegiance was dropped and Thanksgiving was replaced with a “harvest festival.”

The good news arrived at PS 169 in Sunset Park on Monday morning, a day after The Post exposed the bizarre PC extremism of Principal Eujin Jaela Kim.

District 15 Superintendent Anita Skop stormed in the front door at 9:50 a.m., and minutes later, two fifth-grade boys were brought to the main office to lead a recital over the public address system of the Pledge of Allegiance, teachers told The Post.

As The Post reported on Sunday, the pledge hadn’t been said over the loudspeakers since the beginning of the school year. Kim, 33, became principal in May 2014.

Santa Claus is now reinstated at the school, and Department of Education officials said on Monday that the Pledge of Allegiance will be recited over the PA system every morning, in response to concerns from the community.

Even a small victory such as this over leftist PC garbage is satisfying.
