Playoff game refs
FWIW I thought the Socon refs did a great job for our playoff game...prob the best officiating at Bridgeforth this year.

I loved that crew....obviously there were some calls they could have made on both teams. But it must have been a conscious decision to let them play and not dictate the outcome of the game. Great job in my book.

One thing I did walk away from was the reffing. Certainly did let them play and no egregious missed calls. We were beaten by a team and not by refs.

I totally agree. I think the ref's did a bang up job...they let them play the game. Had no issues with the Refs.....

CAA refs should be required to watch how they officiated that game each day in the off-season. They were professionals.

Yeah, the most egregious miss was against us. They easily could have called us for a PI when we tripped their wide open TE in the middle of the field (I think in the second quarter). I agree with everyone here, I didn't notice them, so they called a good game.

CAA? Try NFL! That was a model game for letting the men play the game.

Agree probably one of the best officiated games I've seen in many years. That was the model of consistency.

RE: Playoff game refs
Yeah, I made a comment about the officiating in the game thread (after it was over, of course, so I wouldn't jinx it)...as good as I have ever seen.

Since then, however, I managed to see the holding call at the end of last year's liberty game again. Yep, a year later and it is still just as bad. This year was an amazing contrast.

Playoff game refs
Even I found little to complain about from these refs. There were a couple borderline no calls against both teams. We probably got away with a PI call or two, but so did Colgate.
The most truly questionable call was not reviewing that freak luck deflection TD for Colgate. I felt it at least justified an extra quick look.

Often times posters will say a ref crew "let them play", when in reality, they let one side play. This crew actually laid off both teams with their bad calls. The lack of flags was refreshing.
