RE: as an agnostic
Why it is so far-fetched that the Devil/Satan would keep fighting God? Plenty of people engage in lost causes. It is not inconceivable that an arrogant being like the Devil wouldn't see the light and continue to fight against his predestinated defeat.

Ha, ha, I know what you did there. I don't think that they know that you're talking about them.

The Bible teaches that Satan already knows his eventual fate, at this point the only way he can possible "hurt" God is to deceive and lead as many humans into hell with him.

The Lake of Fire is not a place Satan will rule, it will be an eternal prison of torture and torment for him. He will be punished more than any other.

Yet despite Satan being so much more powerful than us mere mortals, we can read the book, listen to the theologians and conclude that Satan won't "hurt" God because God is beyond everything imaginable - even for a fallen angel. Therefore, Satan is the biggest moron in the universe. Just doesn't make sense.

Yet that "moron" has totally deceived you and is pulling you into an eternity of damnation with him. Your rejection of Christ absolutely is hurtful to His Spirit, He wants you to willingly choose Him. But He gave you the blessing of free will and choice. So its your choice. Live your mortal life for you or live it for Him.

Your call.

What in the world are you talking about?

There are so many false religions and false preachers in the word, I would not be much of a Christian to pretend these things do not exist.

They existed in the time of Christ and the Apostles, why would I pretend like they don't now? Did they not tell us the world will continue to overflow with these things until Christs return?

So now you've not read the Bible at all?

This is one of the most basic themes of the NT.

Ha, ha, Miko, you claim to be one of the smartest posters here, that you read the Bible, and yet you can't find one verse that shows how the devil deceives. Tsk.

You can tell Him, "it's not fair!" like most of you Liberals do here on earth.

Be serious. You don't ponder whether the system makes sense? The concept of hell is excessive, don't you think? Also, did you ever stop to think what the devil would get out of this game by playing the game against an omnipotent, omniscient and all knowing being? Satan is a stupid fvck then if he thinks that he should fight. If this is real, wouldn't it be a better mind fvck if Lucifer told God "no, I'm not playing the game anymore? The fact Lucifer is allowed to exist would strongly imply that God's master plan needs evil to pull it off?

I bet he's a Cubs fan.

I'm not talking about how in the bible we are warned against the deceits of the devil in the generic sense - false prophets teaching errors and things like that - I'm talking about what you would consider actual deceit in today's world.

I have seen a number of Christians claim that the devil is deceiving people. But what some Christians think is deceit, others feel is truth. Then it comes down to by whose interpretation of the bible is the devil deceiving us today. Because we have people claim that the fossil record and genetic information was planted by the devil to steer people towards scientific information that is different than what was written in the bible. Many of those people may accuse you of being a mouthpiece of Satan because you believe differently.

Or the Greeks...
Or the Vikings...

and well, you get the idea. All religions are equally plausible, right? None can be proven or disproven.

A child can read the bible and understand that you have to have faith in the finished work of Jesus to be saved.

The biggest lie out there is that it is a matter of interpretation.
