do mason students go to basketball games anymore? I guess they might think it would be fun to come visit their JMU friends who went to college tho.
Much more often than JMU students do

Reminder to all mason students participating in Saturday's big field trip to JMU, if you have not sent in your parents consent forms by this afternoon, you will not be allowed on the bus. Thank you

Because we are in small time CAA - yes I think the only way we watch games are online.
That's sad. this is a perfect regional game to be picked up by CSN/ASN/MASN with not much else going on in sports (minus Army/Navy) that I can think of
You know what else is sad? That Mason is now considered a marquee home game worthy of special promotion. Back in the golden age of JMU basketball, Mason was a complete afterthought that we made fun of and the marquee home games were the likes of UNLV, BYU, etc. Oh well, enough negativity, this season is off to a pretty good start and it looks MB is finally on track.
I died a little bit when a radio announcement called Mason "one of JMU's biggest rivals"...the announcement ignored the 500 pound gorilla that goes along with that story.

I know it is last second, but I am not going to be able to make the game. I have 2 aisle seats in section 117 which I can email to whoever wants them. I also have a parking pass (Convo B), but I can't email it. If you are in the Fishersville area I can give it to you. Email me if interested, lingerba@gmail.com.

Dukes have out rebounded an excellent rebounding team at the half. That is huge.
We knew Mason was a statistically bad shooting team, but Brady hasn't even had to use zone yet. They look offensively inept so far.
JMU is shooting poorly too, but not as bad as Mason.

What is the rest of the story? We started playing them in 1969. We own the series lead over them. I think they are our biggest rival.

I don't think anyone sees this as a "huge" game. They were our most hated rival when they were in the CAA so of course everyone is excited to be playing them again. But everyone is expecting us to win this game from what I've seen.

Curt just made a comment about ECU by saying, "The pillagers that they are..." and laughed as the other announcer said, "I see what you did there Curt." I wonder if he knows something we all don't...

It's why I'm logged on now. Heard the comment and thought there might be some news.
Tough to get a read off of this game. It hasn't been very competitive and I think it is more of a sign of how bad Mason is this year.

I have never seen Mason play that bad. How did they beat Ol' Miss and Oklahoma State?
They are a bad team that played even worse than their norm.
Blowout City.

The rest of the story is Mason left the CAA for a better conference, hence we have not played mason in three years.
Go Dukes, two A-10 wins.
