I never would have imagined that we'd be ranked in that poll as recently as 3 years ago. Way to go coach Swanson! Way to go Tribe!

This must be the first time any Tribe basketball team has been ranked in the top 25.

I have to believe the 2009-2010 team was inside the top 25 if it was around then.

The 2009 - 2010 team received votes for, but never made the Top 25. That was the closest the Tribe has ever come to being ranked.

The 2007 - 2008 team did set an NCAA record, as they became the first team in NCAA history to score baskets in four consecutive conference tournament games with less than eight seconds remaining in each game (winning the first three).

Wasn't that 2007-8 team the men? I recall that weekend vividly. Were the ladies also that lucky?

What Coach Swenson has done with just two recruiting classes is nothing short of amazing. And he hasn't forgotten the ladies that are at W&M from the previous chaotic regime..they are factors in this year's team too.

I'll tell you the win I saw Sunday at Kaplan over JMU was remarkable. Our team played the second half and OT like a team possessed!

Imagine the possibilities when gets a full four years of recruiting classes here

We are talking about Mid-Major Top 25, right? I don't know of any (at least recent) W&M Basketball team that has ever been ranked in the top 25 of all D-I schools.

That is how I understand it. I think that some may be thinking "Top-25" overall.

Let's not confuse Coach SwAnson with ... um ... that other name starting with "Sw."

These were both pertaining to the Men's squad.

I also researched the AP Top 25, just to see if any of the powerful late 1940's - early 1950's teams had slipped in, not the Mid-Major Top 25, which is obviously, much easier to achieve. William & Mary did make the Top 15 back in December 2009 for the Mid Major Top 25. I do not know if that is as high as they got that season.

RE: 2015-16 Tribe Women's Basketball
2 juniors, 2 sophomores, and a freshman led our team and Tremba didn't even play in the 4th. And, how in the world did we recruit a player out of Hawaii?

According to the game write-up, our ladies cause turnovers, share the ball, and take quality shots.

RE: 2015-16 Tribe Women's Basketball
Coach Swanson's surging team created 24 turnovers yesterday and never trailed in the Towson blowout.
Tough week ahead with two CAA road games.
