They played them close the whole game. Kentucky shot 46 free throws to Illinois States 10.

I know the easy answer for these disproportionate disparities is one team being more aggressive, but it just feels like I've been seeing it a lot more this year. Is it just me?

I'm the first to complain about fouls. With that being said, most of them against ISU were warranted. Kentucky was so much bigger and forced the ball inside. If Kentucky had a reliable 3 point threat they would have won by 30+.
