Was playing against SMU worth the risk?

Nope, but regular season is different. Also, he only played in the first half. Don't think that's because Fuente was feeling bad for SMU.

It is not a good look for a player to be more concerned about the money than they are their profession.

If I were a GM that would be a big red flag if a player bails on his teammates just to ensure his paycheck.

If I were a GM and I was interested in picking him I would be much more concerned with his health and readiness to play for me than I would be about whether or not he plays in a meaningless game for a team I care nothing about.

Until he decides the game you want him to play in "is meaningless". Why would you want someone who doesn't want to compete except when he has something to gain? You as GM would spend a first round pick on a QB that is supposed to be the leader of the team on a guy who decided to quit on his current teammates because the game 'wasn't important'?

I was 13 years old. Old wooden pews in a small Southern Baptist church...just imagine the reverb. One of the most embarrassing moments of my life.

LOL!! I can only imagine. Hope you have been able to put that behind you.

My point is other teams have pro prospects every year but this idea doesn't come out until Memphis has a prospect. Why is no one asking Jared Goff and Conner Cook to sit out?

Yup.

The only SEC defense we played this year turned Lynch into a legend.

But yea, ice skating.....killer...

I hear my local petting zoo has a pretty aggressive billy goat. Should I call his agent and get permission before I invite Paxton to go with the family this weekend?

I believe Paxton Lynch has never missed a start and he has taken some big hits. His durability is not in question

I guess then so should all the potential first round NFL draft picks in all the bowls? And Derrick Rose, Mario Chalmers, Kevin Love, Russell Westbrook, Tyler Hansborough and Durrell Arthur should have skipped the 2008 Final Four? Maybe once a player has been selected on any draft website they should consider sitting out the rest of their games.

Its time for him to start looking at football as a business not a sport you play for fun.

LOL you're such a clown dude. You make good points, but ruin your credibility with thar first sentence.

Fuente didn't quit. We played 3 hard games, back-to-back-to-back...2 on the road...and we lost em. It happens...we play walk-ons and 2-stars. Get over yourself, bro!

He's been whining for a while now; you're not changing his mind.

Can't stand whiners. Then you start to sound like Bellerchick and Brady. Couple of a holes. They got their head handed to them at Mile High and they can't stand it.

Whine on.... whoever it is whining. 03-phew

That only means that we don't have to worry about an undefeaated season just getting to the playoffs and we are there.
