The WCHA is obviously scared sh1tless that it will have poor attendance at this year's WCHA Championship at Van Andel Area, so it is doing 2-for-1 ticktes. I just bought a pair. $47.50 after fees for each ticket, six rows behind the benches. Code is TMN241. I hope Tech, Northern, Ferris and BGSU make it.

You could call this the BROVOL deal. And no, I'm not going along with the WCHA's BS calling it the Final Five. There aren't five teams in the championship anymore, so they should stop calling it the "Final Five," unless they mean it's the final five because all of five fans in GR will remember the historical significance.

I think the last time WMU was in the ccha finals the tickets cost about $20 or so. Not a bad deal, but probably ball park.

I would love to see WMU get to play in grand rapids. Another check for the wcha. Thanks for the info.

I went to a handful of GLIs with friends from GR in the early 00s. One year, friend says he wants to take Grand River from Detroit all the way back to GR. It was the most miserable trip ever. I think it took us 4 hours instead of 2.5. At least we had the great Eazy-E album It's On (Dr. Dre) 187um Killa on cassette.

Shoot, when I was a kid, that was the way to go. There was no 96 all the way. Terrible drive. The middle lane they used for passing, BOTH WAYS. Suicide lane style.
