Well those guys are living the dream. I didn't think Candle would stay. Imagine, a group of friends running their own Power 5 Team? That would be fun. Now Toledo can move on. Time to find a new coach and a new recruiting class.

Of all these listed here now I like Jim Harding. I had forgotten about him. I will throw a name out there and see what others think former us OC and former Wyoming HC Dave Christensen he is at A&M right now? I know Harding was is assistant at Wyoming.

Christensen was the biggest egomaniac I ever met.

Jim Harding. Now I know he has the experience that I would take a chance on. He's a local talent. Payed his dues. Yes let's sign him up. No wait! Not our call. But he could be the right choice. Then he brings in Bruce and Andy. What about Lance as wide receiver 's coach? Are we getting close?

Remember his offense when he was here? No.

RE: New Football Coach Thread
I like the mention of the Eastern Washington coach. Still young and has a lot of head coaching experience. Is getting good recruits and doing a great job of coaching. Has not won the title in a while, but has one a championship. Good thing is, he gets there a lot. Have to wonder why he has not be offered another job at a FBS school. Maybe not enough money for what he is making now - could also be a West Coast guy that will only stay out in Washington. don't know.

I wouldn't want anyone that dumb coaching the Rockets.

I think it's very likely that Bruce already has $2,000,000, so I think it's more likely that he would stay here at least long enough to accomplish something of significance. It doesn't matter anyway. It's just conjecture.

Gradkowski signed a 3yr 5million dollar deal with the Steelers. Think he is in the final year of his contract. Should have been a college coach instead! Can't believe Campbell will make 2mil/per to coach football at a completely irrelevant football school.

I think I saw somewhere where Scooter McDougle was coaching peewee in Cleveland. Maybe he's ready for Tuesday night lights...

RE: New Football Coach Thread
Even though there are a lot of openings right now, I just don't think we have too much competition for a coach who would come to the MAC (and I think there are some solid guys who would like to do that)--maybe Tulane? Almost all the other openings are with the P5 and I doubt we're fishing in the same pond. I think we will get our guy--just don't know who that is yet! But that could change if Babers leaves soon, or Carey at Northern (much less speculation about him, though). Interesting that PJ doesn't seem to be on anybody's radar yet.
