I don't know who is behind us favoring white over gray, but it has to stop. Our colors are blue and gray, not blue and white, and the colors have a specific and important meaning.

Of course, color usage is the least of our problems in football right now. But at least that problem should be rather easy to address.

We were asking for grey alternates for 4 years, wanted at least grey pants or a grey alternate uniform. My understanding is that there are (or were as I'm not sure who made the call) some that feel wearing blue and grey would make us look like the confederate army. As I type this I really wish I was joking.

Believe it or not, that had actually occurred to me before (not as a perspective I would have, but as one that someone with influence might). But that is absolutely silly. Many teams wear gray now, and Utah State actually added it to their color scheme a couple of years ago. Utah State now has the uniforms that we should have had years ago.

It's strange we are sitting just down from the coaches booth and we can see the Charlotte DB's are playing 8-10 yards off our receivers and yet our coaches must have their window blacked out. We continue to muddle running the ball or throwing deep.

Pass interference?

Ran into the punt receiver. Defined as pass interference; 15 yard penalty from spot of catch.

Especially in that by wearing Blue and Gray, you're actually wearing BOTH Army's colors. (IF one wants to try and make some inference)

I doubt that there are people in the Rice community who would associate "blue and gray" with the Confederate army. But I suppose it's possible...

Which is precisely why they are our colors too.

It was likely an excuse that was used to justify doing nothing by the incompetents we have had in charge of football and athletics over the last several years.

Highly doubt the new AD and the next football coach will be using such silly reasoning.

I have always wanted a Blue-Blue-White home kit and a Grey-White-Grey road kit.

Does that mean Heidi Klum might be our next HC?

Just a quick reminder - Charlotte is ranked (in Massey) at #127 in FBS. There are 128 teams.

That would boost attendance.

I certainly hope so. At that point, I would be a whole lot more accepting of losing at homecoming by 55.

Although at this point, Klum might be a better football coach as well; and unquestionably better looking.

I'm impressed.

A common comment today about our passing game.
