Hopefully the boys come to play. Howard is a good team & playing with confidence. Play like we have been and we should win by 10+.

RE: Howard
Howard is coming in on a roll, after winning the Men Who Speak Up Event at the MGM Grand Arena (there were different divisions of this tournament - they won the middle division).

They are led by a host of Juniors.
James Daniel (5'11" G, Jr.), out of Phoebus HS, is their big scorer at 27.6 ppg (4th in the Country). He was MVP of the Tournament. He is 42 of 45 from the line, so far this season.
James Miller (6'4" G, Jr.) comes off the bench to average 15.0 ppg and 4.4 rpg.
Marcel Boyd (6'10" C, Jr.) pulls down 8.2 rpg and scores 5.0 per game.
Damon Collins (6'7" G, Jr.) has come on of late, scoring in double figures in his last two games.

Coach Nickelberry (formerly at Hampton U) has them playing a tight matchup zone, which has been VERY effective.

We need to come to play.

It's at their tiny home arena and they are scoring 80+ points a game. Will be tight.

Last time we played up there, it was FRIGID. Game was played during break and the heat had been turned off. Someone forgot to start it back up till a few hours before tip-off. Jay and I did the game in coats and gloves... Thought I was broadcasting outdoor hockey.

For some reason I don't remember the cold atmosphere as much. What I do remember was the fact that admission was FREE 2 years ago. It was weird simply walking right into the gym after bypassing a completely dark ticket window. It's a shame that I cannot make it there tomorrow.

There was a guy that went off for about 40 points against us. I can't remember his name but he pretty much carried them as we needed OT to hold them off.

Beat the Bisons. With all the tournaments being played out there this weekend; couldn't we do better than playing in an unheated bandbox with no ticket office. Can you spell middle school?
The least we can do is channel our GA Custer and bang some bisons

I'm hoping if we string together another 20 win season, we will get an invite to one of these. Even if it's a minor one, or the mid majors that participate but don't go to the exotic location, it means 3 extra games, usually one against a major opponent, and possibly more exposure.

These tournaments invite teams each year. You can't participate in the same tournament more than once every four years. Most of them have a couple stages that involve a first part with a major team hosting three kid major teams, then in the second "stage" the majors go to Hawaii, Bahamas, etc and the mid majors get together at a campus site. Some are just one off tournaments that have a mix of mid majors and high majors.

A local tournament, of this sort, The Wooden Classic, just announced next year's field. UCLA, Texas A&M, Nebraska, Dayton, New Mexico, CSUN, Portland State, and VPI. The Tribe would have fit in here. My local team UCI, we beat BC yesterday, will play in Vegas next thanksgiving. Point is these fields are filling up now. Beat the Bisons.

Bad News: It's because Sheldon already has 2 fouls early.

Tribe centers having trouble with the Bison 6'11" center. They have five fouls between them already. Luckily, Burchfield is rolling, 16 points.
