The cable model is an outdated model that is unsustainable where they continue to raise rates as subscribers keep dropping services. So the possibility of smaller TV sports contracts is possible in the future unless there's a new model thats sustainable to the networks and both college and professional sports

All I'm waiting for to cut the cable is for ESPN to create their own monthly subscription. Say around $7.99 a month for all of their packaging. If they did that, their subscribers would double to 200 million world wide within a year. And eventually hit a billion.
