So we were talking about how people will still watch the Detroit Lions on TV today. They will still get eyeballs on the set. Then she said why don't they get the two worst teams at the end of the year and play in an undercard on Superbowl Sunday for the right to the first round draft pick. Call it the revival bowl. You know darn well it will generate plenty of interest and pay for itself in multiples. Make it worth everyone's worthwhile. Players teams etc. Offer it to the worst team and if they decline just go up the ladder until you have two teams and the loser gets the 2nd pick. It would be the undercard of all under cards.

Not a bad idea but the two teams wouldn't be able to practice for the month or so after the season ends. And within a month, most of the players would be in horrible shape (relatively speaking). Of course, maybe you wouldn't be able to tell the difference anyway.

Good idea. Cowboys always are a draw.

It would be like a bowl game. You still practice. You have to make it worth their while. Like 2/16th or 1/16th of their salary.

Shoot 3/16th of their salary. Paid for by the league. You know they would make 10x's that with tv advertisement

So make them earn the draft pick instead of redistributing it to the team most in need?

Winner gets 1st pick. Loser gets 2. Loser is known as the biggest loser of losers for that year. You got that stank on you for the whole year.

Maybe give the loser a compensatory pick in between 3 and 4

If you could get it by the NFLPA and the owners, perhaps the winning team could get some additional cap room for the next season.

sorry man, but no way, no how....

players wouldn't do it.....I wouldn't if I was a player....

risk of injury alone is not worth it....

the nfl already has enough gimics.....

but it's cool that you guys chat like that.....that's what really matters....

The over/under for Roger Goodell invoking "integrity of the game" would be 15 seconds.

Better yet...play it "flag football" and put the cheerleaders in thongs.
