Word on the street is he and James Shibest are the best recruiters on the staff. Too old to be a head coach now ?

Pastner was Cal's best recruiter, too...

And, yes, I know it's apples and oranges. I would think there are better options out there.

Dickey has more coaching experience than Boy Wonder. He's been to a bowl game at least. Better than a final 4 as a video coordinator

I think he is too old and would be an underwhelming choice. I don't think we need a home run, but we do need someone that the fan base can get behind.

I am betting on him being the interim HC for the bowl game, since he has been a HC before and he is one of 2 co-offensive coordinators.
