Quote:A scare for Rogers, UH — The Houston Cougars got a scare at Friday's practice when SirVincent Rogers, their top offensive lineman, fell to the turf and had to be helped off the practice field after his right knee buckled during drills.
Rogers, a 6-3, 305-pound left tackle who last season was named to the conference's all-freshman team, suffered a sprained right knee and was later sent for a precautionary MRI. The results will be known today.
Offensive line depth is an issue for the Cougars, who lost sophomores Byron Alfred and Jeff Akeroyd to knee injuries in the spring. Both are expected back at some point this season.
Just what we need more injuries to an already banged up offensive line. :bang:
