UTC +7 over JSU (JSU outright- this will be close)
WIU +15.5 (just seems really high) over ILSU (ILSU wins by 10)
Montana +12 @ NDSU (NDSU wins) - I have no idea on this
SHSU +3.5
PSU +4.5 at home

I agree 20 was better. The only weirdness was more teams getting "byes" than playing in the first round. But those last four in don't deserve to be in. A 5th place in even the best conference isn't good enough to deserve to be playing for the NC. It is too many teams for the size of FCS football.

It is crazy to think that you are playing a school from your bordering state and your campuses are 950 miles apart. Granted on the very East/West parts of their respective states but man are ND and Montana big states.

Yeah, looking at wiki N Dakota is about 1 3/4 times the size of VA, and Montana is about 2x the size of ND, about 3.5x the size of VA. So they are a combined more than 5X the size of VA, yet VA has about 4.5x the population. So VA is close to 25x as dense..

The reason it is so far though is Fargo is on the eastern border of ND, and Missoula is near the western border of Montana, so the distance of the 2 schools is literally almost the width of both states..

Did someone set the robot to repeat?

RE: FCS Playoffs
If JMU was the 24th team in, we all would be happy about there being 24 teams. If being able to win the NC is a requirement, then we should go to 8-10 teams some years and maybe less others. Of the 16 teams left, how many are truly are capable of winning the NC?

Having 24 teams allows for more to be rewarded for good seasons. It also gives coaches additional weeks of practice. JMU has already benefited with an additional two weeks of practice for its young group of players. These players also will get post game experience as well. I just don't understand why any of you would endorse a smaller field when there is so much to gain by making the playoff field even if you can't win the NC.

Colgate was in nc game vs flacco's Delaware team.... other teams have made runs... Keep it at 24 still being snobs and let these student athletes enjoy playing in actual playoffs. It's not just about us and what fans want. Everyone loves a Cinderella in March madness right?

Or for all you fans of the washington racist name nfl team - if you somehow win the division at 7-9 or some crappy record, you wouldn't want someone saying you shouldnt be allowed in the playoffs, right? So don't do it here trying to degrade teams 21-24 here.

I agree, the name Washington is offensive. They need to drop that ugly word and just be referred to as the Redskins. Good call.:D

No they weren't. Colgate played UD in the 2003 NC Game but Flacco played for UD in 2006 and 2007. It was Appalachian State that faced UD in the 2007 NC Game on their way to their 3rd consecutive title.

Well in 2010 Villanova made a 20 team field at 7-4. They had to be one of the last handful of teams in. They made the semis that year (lost to EWU). This season of the top 10 at larges, I think they all have/had at least a realistic chance of making a run. The bottom 4 (Fordham, UNH, WIU, EIU) not so much.

And using that logic, then you could say make it 32 teams, or 48, or 64....
