Agree, but Babers would recruit fine as well. Great system that players love.

But, dude is going to take a big job this offseason.

Fleck has had the MAC's top rated recruiting class every season he's been there.

Memphis in the Big 12 would be a better job than Memphis in the AAC. But it wouldn't be that much better. Kentucky or Rutgers, or even a place like Mississippi State or Baylor would need to worry when Virginia Tech is interested in their coach.

If Babers falls through the cracks and we land him, great...but I doubt that happens.

VT is a better job today regardless of what conference Memphis is in... Coaches at P5 schools just from one to the other all time in hopes of "upgrading"...

I think Coach Fuente will take his time weighing the jobs. As he has said...he has a lot of work and sweat equity in our program. I cannot imagine that he wants another rebuilding project right now at a P5 job unless you could win right away.

I just DON'T see this VT is A BETTER job than Memphis.....VT has been NOWHERE, almost forgotten about for 10 years! Marshall has been MORE relevant since that time!

Michael Vick brought stardom there in the past,but I DON'T see the upside....I really feel that FUENTE THE LEGEND will absolutely disappear there...The expectations will be overwhelming, and after struggling with Marshall;Virginia; Duke & wherever Dino Babers coaches, he will be back to square one!

I think this IS absurd! There must be underlying elements to this that makeup a difference. ....Fuente is a star because of the Memphis media market;recruiting hotbed & overall POTENTIAL of the school based on the teams that surround us & SEC backyard....VT has none of those factors. ....Also how many times will VT get beaten by ND before they give up on wonderboy?
