WKU-Marshall Betting line
Vegas Insider has WKU as a 10.5 point favorite. Thoughts?

I tend to agree with this line. I see a low-double digit Hilltopper victory.

WKU-Marshall Betting line
This game has entered rivalry game territory. Although I did bet 1 unit for WKU to cover, I think it will be close either way. Rivalry games are rarely won or lost by much.

It's not a rivalry game, we've only played you guys twice, ever. It is a very important game for both teams.

Heck, we aren't even competition for you guys this year. You have the greatest offense in CUSA history and your defense is lights out. I figure you will beat us worse than you beat FIU. We'll be lucky just to come out of the game with enough healthy players to participate in a bowl game. I'm figuring about 72-0, if you coach is kind enough to pull the starters in the 3rd.

RE: WKU-Marshall Betting line
I expect this game will start out lower scoring than expected and will develop into a shootout. Should be a back and forth great game.

Opponents in common (FWIW):

Marshall at home 27-7 over ODU
WKU on the road 55-30 over ODU

Marshall on the road 33-17 over FAU
WKU at home 35-19 over FAU

Marshall at home 30-13 over UNT
WKU on the road 55-28 over UNT

Marshall loses on the road to MTSU 27-24
WKU at home over MTSU 58-28

Marshall at home over FIU 52-0
WKU on the road over FIU 63-7

I understand you not being impressed with our 9-2 team. After all, in your 17 years of 1-A football you have won that many games in a season one time also. That 2009 glory season when you were 10-3, but with only one win over a team with a winning record. You played teams with a combined record of 55-88 that year. I'm glad you have proven you can put up 10 wins against such a hard schedule also.

Of course in Marshall's 19 years in 1-A we have put up 9 or more wins 8 times and this is probably the easiest path we have had to that total.

You do understand that your putting down MT, while this season the Herd has only played three teams with winning records and lost to two of them. Of course WKU is in the same boat

RE: WKU-Marshall Betting line
I said it was the easiest path to 9 wins we ever had. I'm not impressed with 9-2 this season, we should be 11-0. We lost to Ohio because we started off the year playing the wrong QB and lost to Middle because the schedule makers were kind enough to let us start the season with 11 straight games without a bye and our kicker had a brain fart. Just piled up too many injuries.

We've had to play almost all season without the guy who was suppose to take the pressure off our FR QB and without the best RT in the conference. We also kicked 3 all conference players off the team between August 1 and September 30.

So yeah, a disappointing season up to this point, but still salvageable with a win Friday and another next Saturday. Can we do that? Odds say no, but it's not impossible. I believe we were a 17 point favorite against wku last year and we remember how that played out.

If we win this game it will be put right there with Appy over Michigan. We have no chance. Daughty is basically Brady, Manning, Montana, Favre, and Elway rolled into one football god, and Coach Brohm invented football 75 years before his birth. Should we even waste our time going to Bowling Green?

Since you called him a football GOD, I thought I would let you know how to spell his name correctly. Brandon Doughty. 04-cheers

Marshall fans starting the hate early...For not a rivalry game, a lot of hot air spewing from Marshall fans....

Biggest question I have, will the players have another pre game brawl? That was fun to watch last season....

Yeah, I know. But for some reason it irks the **** out of you guys. We had to deal with 4 years of our qb being called Raheem Kato, so I'll intentionally change one letter in Daughtys name for fun.

Go Herd!!!
