This is basically what you'd expect from a decent but banged up team going against a midlevel SEC team
Penny our starting back was hurt early, he's a Sr and his backup (who I think is better) is doing well in his absence
Our QBs are playing with a ton of poise and we are passing all over the place on them
Cowan should be a 1st team TE next year
Our DB's are staying with Auburn's WR's step for step which is surprising
Depth is killing us, we have some stud verbal commits (including one kid with 3-4 other sunbelt offers) that are going to make some great receivers and hopefully one or two want to move to the other side of the ball because we need help there
Got to see this one live and that's a great summary. Callen Hightower seems like a hell of a receiver, by the way. Great that you have another year with him. (And he's apparently a Georgia kid...shame we missed on him, even if our WR crew has shaped up nicely this year.)
Petrino and our OC Cink have had amazing receivers every where they've been. Epps and McCain at Idaho and they set records at Arkansas and UNLV, it's a pretty remarkable streak.
I expect to have the best passing offense in the SBC and probably top 25 in the country.
Linehan is one of the better QB's in the conference and he'll be a RS-Jr
Hightower is a stud, will be a Jr
Boston is a freshman that the coaches are excited about
Ungerer was the #2 WR but he's been hurt/suspended all year and the coaches have been raving about him, he'll be a RS-Soph
Cowan will be an all conference TE and a Sr next year
Duckworth is a great RB and he'll be a Jr
Even our backup QB is looking great in case Linehan goes down.
...now the question is will our OL be able to buy these playmakers time and space to be effective, and will the defense be able to get a few stops?
