It seemed to me that Seacat added a needed spark when he got in. In about two minutes he had an assist, a basket, a block, and a near steal that gave us possession. Even if Whitman gets healthy, we might see Seacat stealing some minutes as he gets more comfortable.

Offensively, I think Seacat seems really comfortable. I am a little concerned about his ability to stay out of foul trouble - he picked up three quick ones last night it seemed. Then again, Sheldon will get most of the minutes, so as long as he stays out of foul trouble, it shouldn't be a huge issue.

I thought the "pattern", if there is one, is TUESDAY/Saturday; not Thursday /Saturday??

Once we hit the conference slate its Thursday/Saturday. Until then though it's kind of all over the place.

Coach Shaver stated in the pre-game radio interview that he considered Sheldon to be the most improved player on the team.

Need to destinguish between "Conference play" and "CAA Tournament play" methinks?

You've confuse me... When we hit conference play, our games are mostly Thursday/Saturday each week:

Looks like we have one Sunday game thrown in there. The CAA Tournament is Friday-Monday.

I thought all three of our big men showed clear offensive prowess last night... against an NAIA team, obviously. But still, they had some big boys inside, and Sheldon, Whitman, and Seacat looked aggressive down low. I have this fear that we might not see Whitman for a while, so Seacat is going to get some big minutes against the likes of Dayton and UVa.

RE: Washington Adventist
Having three centers who can actually log minutes and play successfully is something that I honestly can't remember going way back. This would be huge for us later in the year. Plus we have 15 fouls to give against teams with size down low.
