ULM forgets to cover receiver down field. Gives up TD. Texas State with a pretty amazing shank on the extra point 16-3

Now have the rest of you seen enough to know why the TXST fanbase is in full meltdown?

I swear, why did it take until game 10 for Fran to use 6'7" White, other than Carden being out? Does he dislike the kid that much?

Is this ULM's 3rd or 4th QB? I know we knocked out the starter, and the 3rd guy was okay, and the 4th was a WR.

3rd string and just awful. This is unwatchable and just so sad. Carrington couldn't start in Division III.

We lost our 2nd string to Troy and 1st to astate but we are really down 3 counting the passing of one of the more talented QBs on the roster earlier this year.

Here's a good read from one of our posters over at BCF. We had been discussing things (on another thread) that gave him some ammo and he made a power point presentation (a letter) with those issues on it. That's what he "handed to Trauth" in the envelope (as you read). Thoughts?

I didn't get to watch all of this game last night because I had to take some customers duck hunting this morning. With that said, I just watch the rest and man was that a brutal game. I mean I don't know if we should get a full W for that one. Poor Tyler didn't have any protection whatsoever, but between him and White, they made it happen. And I'm glad Bleed took the time to plan that out and use his invitation to his benefit. I'm very impressed that we have younger alumni like him out there getting in front of the powers and presenting the concerns so well. He nailed everything on the head and definitely left an impression.

Thanks for the Share Catmom.

I don't think there is a long letter to Denise Trauth required. She simply needs to follow the recommendations and goals of the Athletics Strategic Planning Committee report from November of 2007 that was presented to her. Among their recommendations were:

1. If FCS, a nationally recognized football program.

2. If FBS, consistently competitive for bowl bids.

3. Men's and women's basketball - NCAA Tournament bid at least every three years.

4. All other sports - consistently among the top three in the conference.

There were a number of other goals and recommendations in this report, many of which are being met. I don't think a detailed letter or a listing of a litany of complaints is required. The basic question for Denise Trauth is, "do you think we are close to meeting these goals?"
