Recently offered 2016 Combo Guard, Zion Morgan from Chicago Kenwood Academy is strongly looking at Toledo according to the Website, Illinois Prep Bulls-Eye. He and his family were upset with how Valparaiso went about signing another guard to the 2016 class (Micah Bradford) which led to Morgan decommitting from Valpo recently. According to the website, Morgan has a high motor which he utilizes at both ends of the court and excels in transition and on the break. He is quite disruptive on defense due to his 6-3 length and energy. They went on to say that Morgan is an erratic shooter who needs to improve his decision-making, but that the up-tempo style Coach K likes to utilize could fit him quite well.

We definitely need another shooting guard. Sanford only has 3.92 years of eligibility left.

Gordan is more of a forward 6-5 or 6-6 and long

We can always use a good athletic and physical yet versatile player like Morgan (at least 13 D1 offers, pg quickness w the ball but sg size).

next yr we have the Marquette transfer Taylor coming in along with Knapke who may be ready to have an impact by then. Plus, Adway will have a year to come into his talent at the college level. Navigato will still have 3.0 years of eligibility and Garber will be flailing around using his 7th yr of eligibility up coming off the bench. We are fine inside next yr. Long term we will need a couple legit bigs for the 2017 class. With only 2 scholarships this yr you lock up the best talent you can and focus on balance with the big 2017 class.

Yeah, Garber hasn't been much but Richard Wonnel 2.0. I see potential but he should be contributing more.

eh, garber plays hard and pretty much within himself, but he just doesn't have a lot of game. he's a plastic plant - fine to hold down some space in a pinch but of limited substance.

And that Marquette transfer is a big, big man. He looks bigger than Boothe, it's too bad we can't utilize both of them this year.

Boothe has an inch or two on him but they both have that naturally big frame. Taylor isn't as talented a scorer as Boothe but he is a legit rebounder and mature guy.
